Drug smuggling,shootouts Border Force..
Security forces ordered to shoot out drugs smugglers..

Drug shootouts. Smugglers scrambling down the canyons. When congressmen wanted tours of the area, they’d have to see it from the window of a helicopter because Border Patrol couldn’t guarantee their safety.
In the middle of a peaceful green valley where the salt air drifts in clean and fresh from the ocean, it can be hard to remember the chaos.
The border fence isn't the only thing to patrol. In San Diego, border agents also monitor the water for drug smuggling. (Nick Oza/USA TODAY NETWORK)
But the fences did not stop the drug smuggling. With a near-infinite supply of money and resources on the other side, drugs continue to move under, around and through anything the country builds.
Then came the fences. One perimeter, then a secondary. The fences helped the Border Patrol reclaim this little sliver of the country.

Border officers 'sham' wedding and arrest groom in bow tie..

The operation was carried out with the full co-operation of the superintendent registrar who was to have overseen the marriage ceremony at the register office.
We are working closely with registrars across the Thames Valley to clampdown on sham weddings and civil partnerships,' said UK Border Agency assistant director Paul Smith.
'Where there are suspicions that a relationship may not be genuine we will investigate and, if necessary, intervene to stop it happening.'
The Border Agency said that a sham marriage typically occurred when a non-European national married someone from the European Economic Area as a means of attempting to gain long-term residency and the right to work and claim benefits in the UK.
The blonde bride, wearing her white gown and clutching her bouquet of white roses, was questioned by officers before being released.
Her would-be husband has been detained and today faced deportation from the UK.
his is the dramatic moment a bow-tie wearing bridegroom was arrested by police as he was about to say 'I do' in a sham marriage.
The officers from the UK Border Agency dramatically stopped the ceremony as the 40-year-old 'groom', from Pakistan, was set to marry a 33-year-old Polish woman, even though the couple could not speak the same language and needed translators to communicate with each other.
The grey-suited man was about to marry his bride, dressed in white and carrying a bouquet of white blooms, when stab-vest wearing police and border officials stormed into the register office in Sloug.
We take attempts to take part in sham marriages very seriously and work with the UK Border Agency to identify suspected sham weddings and ensure those concerned are dealt with appropriately,' said a spokesman from Slough Borough Council.

How much does the sponsor visa cost?

How much does the sponsor visa cost?

Getting an employment visa sponsorship is not cheap. Especially to the US employer who has to pay most of the fees. Depending on the visa, it might cost up to a few thousand dollars to sponsor a foreign employee. Because it is so expensive, employers are reluctant to do it.
The actual fees depend on the visa type, but a general overview of the most common fees and their costs are as follows:
  • Form I-129 – $460
  • Form I-140 – $700
  • American Competitiveness and Workforce Improvement Act of 1998(ACWIA) – $750 or $1,500
  • Fraud Prevention and Detection Fee – $500
  • For employers with 50 or more employees and 50% of them are foreign – $4,000 or $4,500

U.S. Employment Visa Sponsorship

The US is a powerful global force with high economic development. The promise of the American dream and of success attracts people from all over the world. They want to find jobs and build new lives in the country. But even though a lot of people want jobs in the US, it is a long process to get them. There are many steps that foreign people need to take to legally work in the country.
One very important step is a US employment sponsorship. This article will explore the details and information on US employment visa sponsorship.

What is a US Visa Sponsorship?

To be able to go to the US to work, you must first find a job. The employer must be willing to hire someone who is not from the US. The company you plan to work for must know that you are not a US citizen or Legal Permanent Resident (LPR). If the employer is aware and still wants to hire you, then they agree to sponsor you.
US visa or employment sponsorship means that the employer in the US is hiring you. They are guaranteeing to the US visa authorities that you will be a legal working resident. The employer will state that you will work the job position they hired you for. Also, they must guarantee that you will get the same salary as a US citizen or LPR in the same job position.
The employer visa sponsorship is not exactly a letter as most people think. They are a set of documents that is sent to the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). It is not only one sponsorship letter as most people think. The documents must have different forms and letters with the employment information. They must also state that the employer is willingly hiring the employee.
The tricky part in an employment visa sponsorship is to justify hiring a foreign employee. The US has a large population, so why not hire a US citizen or LPR? This is one question that most employers must answer when they try to sponsor a foreign employee.
To solve this, the employer must post job ads and submit other documents to the US Department of Labor. The employer must wait for someone to respond to the job ads. If no one does, they can argue that they could not find anyone to do the job. This will mean that the US citizens or LPRs were not available or skilled for that position. Then the US employer can justify hiring a foreign employee.

So as a recap, if you want to work in the US, you must find an employer willing to sponsor you. Working without a sponsorship means you are working illegally. That can have consequences and you might end up deported or arrested.

Do I Need a Visa Sponsorship Letter?
Since there are so many US visas, it can be confusing to know which ones are for employment. Even within the US work visas, for very short seasonal work you might not need a sponsorship. But you must keep in mind that most employment offers in the US will need a visa sponsorship. The US visas have groups of nonimmigrant and immigrant visas. Below are the ones that need employment sponsorships.
How Long is the Sponsor visa USA valid?

Getting the sponsorship and the visa are the difficult parts. After you get the visa, then you can make your travel arrangements. Once you go to the US, you can start working. But if you have a nonimmigrant work visa, then its validity is temporary. This means that after some time, it will expire.

How long the nonimmigrant work visa is valid depends on the type of visa you have. Some like the H-1B visa are valid for 3 years, while others could only be valid for 1 year. So you must check the details of your visa to not overstay.

When the time comes for your visa to expire, some can get extensions. The employer can apply again for the sponsorship to USCIS and you could get the visa again. But for the nonimmigrant visas, there are limited extensions. In most cases you will not be able to extend for more than 2 or 3 times.
As for the immigrant work visas, they are permanent. Once you get these visas, you get a Green Card. The Green Card is valid for 10 year

Hug drug haul found in breakfast cereal shipment
French custom officials have seized a record 51 kilograms of methamphetamine hidden in a shipment of breakfast cereal.

The haul is estimated to have a street value of over £3 million, the customs department said in a statement, and is the biggest  single seizure of the drug on French territory.
Customs officers at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris were checking cartons containing bags of cereal when they found them to be "unusually heavy".
Methamphetamine is a strong and highly addictive stimulant, popular for recreational use and to help workers stay alert and energetic during long and night shifts.
Users of the drug experience an intense rush, heightened attention and curbed appetite. Over time addicts often suffer anxiety, weight loss and tooth decay.

The drug has been popular in poorer Asian countries for many years, but is now thought to be gaining popularity in richer nations such as South Korea, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia.

Illegal drugs are changing the basis of the food chain in rivers

They opened the bags and found crystals of the drug wrapped in aluminium foil in 40 of the 70 bags, which were being transported from Cameroon to Malaysia.

The substance is sold in various forms in Asia including as a component of a local drug called yaba, which is extremely prevalent in southeast Asia. The drug is the most popular illegal substance in the region and can cost less than a fast food meal at Burger King.

Meanwhile, a Reuters investigation in July found west Africa was playing a "new and fast-growing role" in the global drug trade, "not just as a transit point for drugs but also as a producer of amphetamine-type stimulants".
Local and international officials told Reuters west African criminal groups are now producing and exporting hundreds of millions of dollars worth of methamphetamine every year, most of which is shipped to Asia.

The synthetic drug is derived from ephedrine or pseudoephedrine, two common medicines used to treat conditions like nasal decongestion and asthma. It can be manufactured with basic equipment and is extremely profitable. One kilo of meth costs just over £1000 to make in West Africa but sells for more than £100,000 in Japan.

Passport gates to ease travel for passengers from more countries

Passport gates to ease travel for passengers from more countries

Millions more people will be able to use ePassport gates as they arrive in the UK, under plans announced in the Budget on 29 October 2018.
The ePassport gates expansion will provide an automated route through the border for an estimated additional 6 million international travellers arriving in the UK every year. The move is the next step in the government’s continuing programme of work to roll out digital technology at the border and is expected to significantly improve the flow of passengers at busy airports such as Heathrow.

ePassport gates, which are currently available for British and EU nationals, provide a faster route through the border as they allow eligible passengers to be processed quickly and securely. All passengers are automatically checked against Border Force systems and watchlists. The technology also allows Border Force officers to focus on other priority work such as identifying potential victims of trafficking.

Immigration Minister Caroline Nokes said:

We want to encourage people who boost our economy through tourism and business to travel to the UK, while at the same time maintaining border security. Expanding the number of nationalities eligible to use ePassport gates supports this aim.

Increasing the use of digital technology is part of our ambitious programme to improve the passenger experience and meet the challenge of increased passenger numbers.

ePassport gates use facial recognition technology to compare the passenger’s face to the digital image recorded in their passport. The system is monitored by Border Force officers and anyone rejected by the gates will be sent to an alternative channel to have their passport checked.

There are now 259 ePassport gates in operation at 14 ports around the UK and juxtaposed control locations. The gates can be used by those aged 18 and over, and who are travelling using a biometric or ‘chipped’ passport. Those aged 12 to 17 years old, and who are accompanied by an adult, are also able to use them.
